Mark Christopher Lawrence, Ryan and Heather O'Quinn, Gabriel C. Brown, Taylor Cole and Trey and Ariel Fernald Visit The Dream Center on Dec 20.
LOS ANGELES (Dec. 22, 2023) – In the spirit of giving back this holiday season, cast-members from the award-winning “Bringing Back Christmas,” visited the LA Dream Center on December 20 to bring joy, lift spirits, and offer a special screening of their new holiday film. “Bringing Back Christmas,” reminiscent of “It’s a Wonderful Life,” is the second project to be released under the newly announced Damascus Road multi-picture pact with film executive, producer and financier Mike Ilitch, Jr. Producers Ryan O’Quinn, Heather O’Quinn and Taylor Cole of Damascus Road Productions, and Eastern Sky Theatre Company’s Trey and Ariel Fernald led the charge in producing “Bringing Back Christmas” – a fun and timely story, reminding us of the heartfelt lessons of life to have faith and persevere because God is with us.
“After visiting the Dream Center, my heart overflows with love for others and I am reminded that there are people in the world who just need a little help to move forward and that I am not the only one with problems or issues, and that God can bring us through our problems and issues, we just have to ask,” said Mark Christopher Lawrence, actor, stand-up comedian, and voice-over artist.
Residents from the LA Dream Center took part in a question-and-answer session, musician and actor Gabriel C. Brown sang Christmas songs, and guests enjoyed home-baked cookies, popcorn and candy, and received a special care package. “The life transformations that are happening under the roof at the Dream Center are nothing short of miraculous and the loving, caring, God-fearing staff is amazing,” continued Lawrence.
This inspirational-comedy follows charming family-man, Daniel Reece (veteran comedic actor Mark Christopher Lawrence), whose determination to pay for his child’s critical surgery leaves him unraveled after being fired from his job of 17 years. A feisty angel (Leigh-Allyn Baker) takes him on a life-changing adventure back in time to witness the challenges surrounding the holy ‘First Family.’ From quirky in-laws squabbling over the dowry and baby names, through soldiers delivering the bad news of a forced journey to Bethlehem, then to the unlikely manger of a King, we laugh and learn along with Daniel. This fun and heartwarming story will not only make audiences laugh-out-loud but will also leave them with hope that God is with their family in every circumstance.
“Bringing Back Christmas” is currently available on global streaming platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Apple-TV, VUDU and In-Demand which includes Comcast, Cox and Charter, along with select theatrical showings through Integrity Releasing.
